I was born in the 80s, maybe that’s part of the reason, but I love the vibe of digital watches.
I’m sure some horology purists out there consider them toys or not “serious” timepieces, but I have just as much appreciation for, and get just as much joy from a nice digital watch as I do from an awesome mechanical timepiece.
I have no profound logic or reason as to why either. I like how immediate they can be, and even though I never use anything other than time and date, I like that most of them will have a bunch of extra features.
Most importantly, and for me what is most important about any watch, I just dig how they look!
I’m not set on any one particular style either. I’m constantly looking at digital watches out there to see what is available. I’ll take a classic design, something new and futuristic, or something that is super simple.
To be honest, most of us are used to telling time with our phones and/or computers, so it isn’t all that different…HOWEVER…having a digital timepiece on your wrist is a much more enjoyable experience than just looking at a phone or computer screen.
At least in my opinion!
