Nothing quite like it
Let’s face, nothing beats strapping on a dope watch! The mere fact that you can carry a tiny clock around on your wrist is pretty cool right?
Growing up, it always felt like having a watch was a way to step your game up, complete a nice outfit, or just show your personal tastes.
Really at the end of the day, it just comes down to the fact that I enjoy it! I like the feeling I get when picking out a watch, I like the sound of it ticking on my wrist, and I love to explore the designs, ideas, and thought process that watchmakers put into their pieces.
Even the most “simple” watch is a fairly complicated device when you think about it, not to mention when you start adding complications outside of the standard timekeeping functions.
Express yourself and YOUR style!
Watches allow you to express yourself no matter what your style, mood, or occasion. Everyone can have their own reason for enjoying a watch. Your background doesn’t matter, your style doesn’t matter, your occupation doesn’t matter. There are so many types of watches out there as well as new ones hitting the market all the time.
Sometimes I prefer a clean simple look, other times I may want to get adventurous. I may want to go futuristic, or take a stroll down memory lane and put on a piece of nostalgia. Heck, I may even choose to venture into the past and grab a vintage piece that roamed the earth before I was even born!
Collect what YOU like!
I love how easy it is to get into collecting watches. No matter what theme you choose you can collect it. Want to go for specific dial colors? You got it. What to do go for only sports watches, only leather bands, only small independent brands, a specific style of metal bracelet? Any of that can be accomplished and you don’t need anyone’s permission to do so.
You also don’t have to know everything about how a watch works, or how all the parts fit together, in order to enjoy a good timepiece.
I dig watches simply because they are watches, and everything that comes with that!
